can now "hang Ten" a hundred
miles out to sea with the first-ever
shipboard surf park aboard Freedom
of the Seas.
The 32-foot-wide by 40-foot-long
FlowRider® surf simulator
allows riders to surf or body board
against a wave-like water flow of
34,000 gallon per minute.
- The
highlight of Freedom of the Seas'
top-deck aqua environment, H2O
Zone features brightly colored
sculptures spraying water in all
directions, H2O Zone also includes
a circular current pool and a swimming
pool fed by a waterfall.
- Freedom's
cantilevered whirlpools
are the most exciting relaxation
areas at sea, extending 12 feet
out from the side of the ship with
spectacular views down to the ocean
112 feet below.
- From
spending a lazy afternoon in a hammock
to enjoying underwater music while
swimming in the central pool, the
jungle-themed Solarium offer
an adults-only oasis.
- Freedom's
main pool area features a dedicated
sports pool, which is used
for team competitions ranging from
water volleyball to hilarious synchronized
swimming contests. Lane markers
are in place for lap swimming in
between organized activities.
- Freedom
adds new dimensions to Royal Caribbean's
signature rock-climbing wall,
with a 43-foot-tall by 44-foot-wide
wall with a central spire - and
