Assassin, Vegas, Spice and New Kid Alkaline for Sumfest Dancehall Night |

Kingston, Jamaica; The organizers of Reggae Sumfest have confirmed the lyrical Assassin and new sensation Alkaline for Dancehall night, July 17 of, the 22nd Greatest Reggae Show on Earth', is already shaping up to be 2014's most memorable event and returns to its home base Catherine Hall, Montego Bay from July 13 - 19. Agent Sasco aka Assassin along with the controversial young blood Alkaline is an indication that the Festival organizers are putting together a line-up of searing hot performers synonymous with exceptional entertainment. Fans are in for a treat as the prolific hit maker Mr. Vegas and the industry's most daring leading lady Spice will stamp their own brand of entertainment on Catherine Hall. Other dancehall artistes confirmed for the greatest dancehall celebration are QQ, Bugle, Aidonia and I-Octane who closed the show last year on an explosive note. While keeping the other names under tight wraps, Sumfest Directors are assuring patrons that there will be more exciting announcements to follow in the coming weeks. Executive Director Johnny Gourzong says "This year's staging will be an entertainment package guaranteed to please and music lovers should take advantage of the early bird tickets special to make sure that they can be part of an unforgettable musical experience in Montego Bay come the 13th of July." Assassin aka Agent Sasco is undoubtedly one of dancehall's top performers with a list of hits from an expansive catalogue. Fans can expect a lyrical onslaught as the artiste switches between his hardcore persona, Assassin and the more refined Agent Sasco with hits such as Late, Same Thing Again, Talk How Me Feel and Girls Gone Wild. Vegas, is the dancehall gifter with treats galore. Currently blazing a trail across the world, the resilient and charismatic performer will touch hits such as Bruk it Down, Party Tun Up, Sweet Jamaica, I Am Blesse and his most recent party rocker Give It to Her. Spice will be representing for the women and she too cannot be discounted nor outdone when it comes to performing. Spice, while being shy and soft spoken off-stage is the exact opposite when she gets in front of an audience. The artiste transform into a raunchy, sensual diva as she delivers lyrics to songs such as Twerk, Why You Mad and her recent hit, So Me Like It which was remixed with Hip-Hop star Busta Rhymes. The exciting, controversial, eccentric rising star Alkaline is also expected to deliver a massive performance in what will be his second appearance on the show. Alkaline has grown vastly since his debut performance last year, his lyrical delivery and fan base has expanded and he continues to express himself in bold ways. Alkaline is expected to keep the audience ignited with songs such as Bruk Out, Things Me Love and Move Mountains. The 22nd staging of Reggae Sumfest is expected to live up to its mantra 'The Greatest Reggae Show on Earth' and with artistes such as Assassin, Vegas, Spice and Alkaline the organizers are anticipating great quality performances come July 13 - 19 at Catherine Hall. |
